What We Teach and Believe

The Word of God...
The Bible is God's inspired Word. Through it He reveals Himself to us as a just and loving God who hates sin but loves the sinner. His great love for the sinner is shown through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross for our sin. The Bible is the foundation of all we teach and believe and a guide for daily living.

The Triune God...three persons in one God.
The Father created the world, still preserves it and provides for us.
The Son, Jesus Christ, took the sins of all people to the cross so that all who believe in Him as Savior will be redeemed and have the gift of eternal life.
The Holy Spirit works faith in us and keeps us in God's saving grace.

The Sacraments...
Through the Word and the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and The Lord's Supper, God offers us forgiveness for our sins, assurance of salvation, and equips us to live for and serve Jesus, His Church, and others.

Eternal Life and Salvation...
Jesus earned salvation by going to the cross, carrying the burden of our sin. Through His death and resurretion, all who trust in Him alone will be confident of eternal life. Faith and salvation are God's free gifts given to those whom God has chosen.

We as His People...
We believe we are sinners and daily confress our sins and see our need for a Savior who forgives all our sins. We worship regularly, partaking of the Sacraments and strive to be in prayer and God's Word daily. We share this Good News with those around us.
