From the Director
Thanks for supporting our Fall fundraiser. We raised enough money to put in our new sidewalk on the Pre-K playground. Derek Johnson is working toward his Eagle Scout award and worked very hard on this project. We also want to thank Masterpiece Construction for donating their labor to complete this project. Jason and Spencer are just getting their concrete business off the ground and they did a fantastic job with the concrete. We are attaching their business card as a way to say thanks and possibly give them new business!! Derek still has a few projects to finish, he will place more soft pavers on the Toddler playground and also seal the wood structures on the Pre-K playground.
We also are still collecting diapers for the Ahrens family (from the toddler room) who recently had their TRIPLETS! 2 boys and 1 very happy and healthy baby girl were born on June 11, 2008. Their sister Maddie attended Our Redeemer CCC in the toddler room! We would like to help them out by hosting a diaper drive! Hadley (girl), Henry and Holden are already in size 2 diapers, but the family would accept any size above that. We would like to help out this suddenly big family and this is a way everyone could help.
Please try to attend the Dr. Beverly Yahnke presentation. She was here last year and is a fantastic speaker. She brings a common sense approach to parenting! Information is at the end of the newsletter!
We want to welcome new CEP workers to our program, Christine is working with the toddlers, and Amber is helping in Amanda’s Pre-K class. We still have Colinda coming after school to help in Pre-toddlers and Nikki in the infant room. We appreciate their help! |
