The 50 Days ABLAZE Journey begins…the week of October 5

  • Sunday Worship will focus on the mission response for each week.
  • Your devotion book will feature daily devotions on that response.
  • Each small group Bible study will discuss God’s mission and help

each of us find ways we can carry out that mission response of the week.

It’s not too late to get into one of the small groups for Bible study!

Be among the 125 + in small group studies!

Preparation for the journey includes:

  • Children bringing rocks to Sunday School on Oct. 5
  • Saving coins and bringing them so you can “Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord”

on Sunday, Oct. 19. Children will receive special containers to collect their coins in. Coins will be used to send School Kits and Personal Survivor Kits to the Orphan Grain Train.

    • The Orphan Grain Train is an organization within the LCMS which enables God’s people to share material resources in the name of Jesus with needy people, far and near. The Orphan Grain Train was among the first to take food and needed materials to victims of Katrina and victims of the floods in Cedar Rapids, Iowa as well as other areas of disaster within the United States. They have shipped many “containers” full of humanitarian aid to Africa and other needy countries around the world.
  • Begin collecting supplies for the Personal Survivor Kits or School Kits to be sent to the Orphan Grain Train. Bring them with you to worship on Sunday, Nov. 2. They will be collected as part of the worship service.
