Another Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer has cycled through. An-other academic school year and summer nearly are nearly complete. Whenever you complete another circle though you can look back and see that things won’t be the same as last year.
There is learning. There are experiences that have shaped us for the future. Therefore maybe a circle is an incomplete visual. Maybe a spi-ral or a tornado pattern looking from the top down is better. Why? Be-cause independent circles are just that disconnected and that isn’t real-ity. Instead all of our experiences, learning, and years shape our lives. We grow deeper and deeper. We grow more and more. We are differ-ent from one year to the next. This is the pattern of our lives in school, life, and faith. In school we have gained more knowledge, in life more experiences, and in faith the Holy Spirit has been renewing and trans-forming us. Whenever you see of the O in ORLC think of this re-peated pattern of growing deeper in Christ.
It’s been another year of College Ministry for ORLC. Another year of walking in Christ. How will you enter this year different than last? What challenges are ahead? What opportuni-ties has God laid ahead of you? This is God’s plans, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God pre-pared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
I am excited for another year of God’s plan in our lives and the life of ORLC. In the life of students coming back to school. Seasoned stu-dents excited to jump into classes in their major. Nervous freshman away from home. Sunday school starting up again. New Bible Studies and small groups forming and re-forming. All of us growing deeper as we walk through the book of Acts, the Acts of the Church on the Move. There is so much to thank God for and to pray that He will use to deepen our relationship with Him. So as we look forward to this pattern, I am excited and I pray that we are all ready for the journey.
Last month we were took in a Red Hawks game and fireworks! It was a great time. A great suggestion from one of you on Face-book. End of Summer plans are filling up. Suggest another idea for a gathering on Facebook!!!
Would you be interested in a 20s Small Group this Fall, if so let Pastor Ted know.
FRIENDSHIP FAMILIES
for
MSUM International Students
MSUMs Office of International Programs offers the opportunity to connect students with F/M area families. This would be a great way to invest in the college com-munity.
We are praying for 4 more ORLC families to be involved;
please contact Pastor Ted or for more information check out
